Talk to the Chef
A CULINARY TRIP TO REMEMBER
Join Donna Nordin, Terra Cotta's Chef/Proprietor her husband, Don Luria, Past President, Council of Independent Restaurants of America for an unforgettable week of culinary and cultural experiences centered around an 18th century country house in Les Eyzies, Périgord Noir, in southwest France. Périgord Noir, renowned for France's finest truffles, walnuts, wild mushrooms and foie gras is regarded by the French themselves as "the best place to eat in all of France."
During the eight days and seven nights you can be among eight guests exploring and capturing the essence of this wonderfully beautiful part of France. Some days you may visit farmer's markets in Sarlat or Perigueux, enjoy wine tasting at Chateau Bélingard in Bergerac, visit Chateau Les Milandes, once owned by Josephine Baker or the 14th Century Castlenaud. Other days you might enjoy walking through the hilltop Bastide town of Domme, or watching a demonstration on preparing foie gras, or just relaxing over a leisurely lunch at a country bistro.
Last, but not least, Donna will lead 3 "hands on" cooking classes in La Combe's grand kitchen after which we will sit in La Combe's elegant dining room and savor the fruits of your labor. All in all, you will enjoy the history, art, culture and food of the Dordogne Valley.
Donna's next trip is scheduled for October 22 - 29, 2010. For further information go to www.lacombe-perigord.com, or contact Donna at dmnordin@aol.com.
